Custom Software & Mobile App Development

Custom software and mobile apps, built by a team that also installs the hardware

Off-the-shelf software fits about eighty per cent of most businesses. The remaining twenty per cent is usually the part that makes the business money, and it is where spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups and manual registers quietly take over.

MMB Technologies builds custom web and mobile software for that twenty per cent. What makes us unusual is that we also design and install the hardware it talks to — barriers, cameras, RFID readers, biometric devices and turnstiles — so integration is not a risk we push back onto you. We work with clients in Pakistan and internationally.

Application development and coding work in progress

What we build

Mobile applications

  • Android and iOS applications, native or cross-platform depending on what the project actually needs
  • Customer-facing apps: booking, ordering, membership, payments and loyalty
  • Field and operations apps: attendance with GPS, site inspections, delivery confirmation, job cards, meter reading
  • Offline-capable apps that keep working in basements, factories and rural sites, syncing when the signal returns
  • Push notifications, in-app chat, QR scanning and document upload

Web applications and portals

  • Management dashboards that pull together data from several systems into one screen
  • Customer and vendor portals with self-service accounts, documents and payment history
  • Workflow and approval systems that replace email chains with a tracked, auditable process
  • Booking and scheduling platforms for clinics, services, facilities and events
  • Reporting systems with role-based access and scheduled delivery

E-ticketing systems

Ticketing for parks, museums, exhibitions, amusement facilities and public attractions: online and counter sales, QR-coded tickets, turnstile or handheld validation, group and season passes, and daily revenue reconciliation by counter and by shift. Because we also supply the turnstile gates, the ticket and the gate are delivered as one working system.

Restaurant management systems

Table management, order taking on tablets, kitchen display screens, recipe-based inventory consumption, delivery and takeaway flows, and integration with the FBR POS requirement for invoicing.

NADRA biometric verification integration

For businesses whose compliance or risk process requires verified identity, we integrate NADRA biometric and identity verification into your enrolment, onboarding or issuance workflow, so the check happens inside your system instead of as a separate manual step.

Where software meets our hardware

This is the work we are asked for most, and it is where an integrator with both skills genuinely changes the outcome.

Integration What becomes possible
ANPR and CCTV cameras Number plate capture, vehicle snapshots against every transaction, Hikvision and Dahua integration
RFID and E-Tag readers Hands-free vehicle identification, resident and staff passes, asset and library tracking
Biometric devices Attendance, access events and identity checks feeding directly into payroll and HR
Barriers and gate motors Software-triggered opening, with every manual override logged against a named user
Turnstiles and speed gates One entry per valid ticket or credential, with live occupancy counts
Payment and SMS gateways Online collection, automated receipts, reminders and OTP verification

How we work

  1. Discovery: we map the current process, identify what is actually broken, and agree what success will look like in measurable terms.
  2. Scope and estimate: a written scope with modules, screens, integrations, timeline and cost. Anything outside it is quoted separately rather than absorbed silently.
  3. Design: wireframes and screen designs approved before development starts, because changing a drawing costs nothing and changing built software costs weeks.
  4. Development in phases: working software delivered in stages so you see progress and can redirect early.
  5. Testing: functional testing, user acceptance testing with your own team, and load testing where volumes justify it.
  6. Deployment: cloud or on-premises, with data migration and a rollback plan.
  7. Training and handover: role-based training, user documentation and administrator guides.
  8. Support and enhancement: a support agreement covering fixes, and a roadmap for the features that come after go-live.

What you own

Ownership is agreed in writing before work begins. For bespoke development, our standard position is that the client owns the source code and the data. Where a project is built on one of our existing platforms, such as our parking or HRIS products, you receive a licence and your data remains yours and exportable. We would rather be clear about this at the quotation stage than have the conversation later.

Technology we work with

  • Web: PHP and Laravel, .NET, React and Vue front ends
  • Mobile: native Android and iOS, plus Flutter and React Native for cross-platform builds
  • Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL Server
  • Integration: REST APIs, webhooks, device SDKs for camera and biometric hardware
  • Hosting: cloud deployment or on-premises servers, with backup and monitoring configured

Frequently asked questions

How much does custom software cost?

It is driven by scope: the number of screens, user roles, integrations and reports. We give a written estimate after the discovery session, broken down by module, so you can decide what to build now and what to defer to a later phase.

How long does a project take?

A focused mobile app or portal typically runs eight to twelve weeks from approved design. Larger systems with hardware integration run three to six months and are delivered in phases, with the first usable phase much earlier.

Can you work with our existing software?

Yes. We regularly build alongside existing accounting, ERP or HR systems and connect through APIs, database views or scheduled file exchange where no API exists.

Do you take over projects another developer started?

Yes, subject to a code review first. We assess the state of the code and the database honestly and tell you whether continuing or rebuilding is the better value — including when the answer is not the one that earns us more work.

Do you work with clients outside Pakistan?

Yes. We deliver software projects internationally with remote discovery, scheduled progress calls in your time zone, remote deployment and ongoing support.

What happens after the project is delivered?

A support period is included with every project. After that, most clients take an annual support agreement covering fixes, minor enhancements, hosting supervision and a defined response time.
